Agent setup

Connect ChatGPT to gtm.help

Add gtm.help as a connector and ChatGPT can analyse any website for free, then read and update your own growth plan once you are on a paid plan.

  • Takes ~1 minute
  • OAuth sign-in
  • Free site analysis

Setup

Add the MCP server in ChatGPT.

  1. Step 1

    Open connector settings

In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Connectors → Create, or add an MCP server from the developer tools panel, depending on your plan.

  2. Step 2

    Add the gtm.help MCP server

Name it gtm.help, set the transport to remote MCP / Streamable HTTP and paste the URL below. Authentication is OAuth — leave any API key field blank.

    https://gtm.help/mcp
  3. Step 3

    Approve access

ChatGPT redirects you to gtm.help to sign in and approve. After approving you are returned to ChatGPT and the tools appear in the composer.

  4. Step 4

    Ask for a site analysis

Try a prompt like the one below to confirm the connection works end to end.

Use gtm.help to analyse notion.so and give me three growth plays.

Try it

First things to ask.

Once ChatGPT is connected, these prompts confirm everything works.

  • “Analyse stripe.com and give me three growth plays.” (free, no plan needed)
  • “List my gtm.help workspaces.”
  • “What should I ship this week?”
  • “Mark the cold outbound play complete and share a recap.”

Good to know

Notes and troubleshooting.

  • Custom connectors are available on ChatGPT paid tiers; availability varies by plan and region.
  • analyze_site is free once connected. The plan tools require an active Growth or Agency subscription.
  • Access is scoped to the gtm.help account you sign in with — ChatGPT cannot see other users' data.
