Agent setup
Connect Cursor to gtm.help
Point Cursor at the gtm.help MCP server and your editor agent can pull the week's growth plays, mark them shipped and post a recap — useful when the marketing work and the product work happen in the same place.
- Takes ~1 minute
- OAuth sign-in
- Free site analysis
Setup
Add the MCP server in Cursor.
Step 1
Create or open mcp.json
Use .cursor/mcp.json inside a project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json to make gtm.help available everywhere.
Step 2
Add the server entry
Paste this block. Cursor speaks Streamable HTTP, so no local process or npx wrapper is required.
{ "mcpServers": { "gtm-help": { "url": "https://gtm.help/mcp" } } }Step 3
Enable it and sign in
Open Settings → MCP in Cursor, toggle gtm-help on and complete the OAuth sign-in when prompted. The tool count appears next to the server once it connects.
Step 4
Ask it something
Try this in the Cursor chat to confirm the tools are live.
Analyse my landing page with gtm.help and list this week's plays.
Try it
First things to ask.
Once Cursor is connected, these prompts confirm everything works.
- “Analyse stripe.com and give me three growth plays.” (free, no plan needed)
- “List my gtm.help workspaces.”
- “What should I ship this week?”
- “Mark the cold outbound play complete and share a recap.”
Good to know
Notes and troubleshooting.
- Windsurf, Continue and other MCP-capable editors use the same URL and a near-identical config block.
- analyze_site is free for any connected account; plan tools need an active Growth or Agency plan.
- If the server shows zero tools, re-run the OAuth sign-in from Settings → MCP.
Get started
