How do tasks and operations compare?
Zapier counts each successful action step as a task. Make counts each module execution as an operation, including filters and routers. Make's allowances are much larger for the money, so multi-step scenarios usually cost less overall — build the same workflow in both trials to see the real numbers for your case.
What about n8n?
n8n is the self-hostable option and cheaper still if you'll run it yourself. It's the natural next step when Make's limits or pricing become the constraint.
