Typefully vs Hypefury
Typefully if you want a clean place to write threads, schedule them and see what performed. Hypefury if you want growth automations — auto-plugs, evergreen reposting and DM delivery of lead magnets — and you're comfortable with how aggressive that can look.
- No affiliate links
- Public pricing only
- Updated by hand
Both started as X tools and both now cover LinkedIn. They attract different people: Typefully users tend to care about the writing, Hypefury users about the growth loop.
Be careful with automation on X. Auto-DMs and repetitive reposting can read as spam to your audience even when they're within platform rules, and the rules themselves change often.
Side by side
Typefully and Hypefury in short.

- Free tier for basic scheduling.
- Paid from
- Paid plans from roughly $12.50/month billed annually
Good at

- Clean analytics showing which posts drove followers
- Team drafts, comments and approval flow
Weak at

Hypefury
X and LinkedIn scheduler focused on growth automations: auto-plugs, evergreen recycling, auto-DMs.
- Free
- Trial rather than a permanent free tier.
- Paid from
- From roughly $19/month
Good at
- Auto-plug: automatically comments a call to action on posts that pass a like threshold
- Evergreen queue recycles your best posts without manual work
- Auto-DM delivery of lead magnets to people who engage
Weak at
- Automations can feel spammy if overused, and audiences notice
- Interface is busier
The differences
Where they actually diverge.
Pick one
Which one fits you.
Choose Typefully if
- The bottleneck is writing, not distribution
- You post as a company with more than one contributor
- You'd rather not automate engagement
Choose Hypefury if
- You want a repeatable growth loop from a personal account
- Recycling your best posts is worth the risk of repetition
- Lead magnets delivered by DM are part of the funnel
When neither is the answer
Neither tool creates an audience. If posts get under 500 impressions, the fix is what you write and who you reply to, not the scheduler.
Questions
Common questions.
Are auto-DMs against X's rules?
X's automation rules prohibit bulk, aggressive or unsolicited DMs, and enforcement has tightened. Sending a DM to someone who explicitly commented a keyword is the safer pattern — but the rules change, so read the current policy rather than trusting a tool's marketing.
Does reposting old content hurt?
Not with the algorithm, generally, but it does with regular readers who see the same post monthly. Recycle sparingly and rewrite rather than repeat.
